God has been working to prepare the people of this community for Connections Church for some time. In October of 2010, Lead Pastor Ray Fritz followed the Lord’s leading to step out of the Student Ministry role he held at Meadow Creek Church in Andover. Ray has served as Youth Pastor in four different churches over the last 27 years.
Connections Church became a reality due to the generosity of its two parent churches: Meadow Creek Church in Andover and Northridge Fellowship in Rogers. Both churches helped start Connections by giving finances, people and training. Numerous other churches in the area and outside of Minnesota have participated in the support of Connections Church.
From October 2010 to February 2011, Ray began preparing, planning, praying and gathering people to help officially launch the church on February 27, 2011. Worship is a very important piece to any church and as Ray was seeking the Lord, the Lord was also working in Tim Hale. Both men came together and agreed to pray about the Lord’s leading to plant a church in Ramsey. It did not take long, as the Lord confirmed many times through circumstances, people and His Word that this is exactly what He had in mind for these two men.
Our launch Sunday was February 27th, 2011 with over 240 people attending. It was a great celebration of what the Lord had been preparing for months. On this very first day, the Lord began to use Connections Church as an instrument to change lives. We saw numerous lives changed as people are hungry for the truth and discovering a personal relationship with the Lord.
